Lotte Department Store, in partnership with global public art artist duo FriendsWithYou, has introduced 'Little Cloud Big Wishes!' an art project that delivers warm comfort and positive energy to those who are tired of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this project, we worked with FriendsWithYou to create an artistic message that fits and effectively conveys each space throughout the Lotte Department Store, and FriendsWithYou is an artist duo that has spread positive messages about magic, luck, and friendship since 2002, and through this project, they vividly embodied a variety of characters including their trademarks, Little Cloud and Little Star throughout the Lotte Department Store. On the roof of the Young Plaza at the Lotte Department Store's main branch, an 11-meter-long super-large Little Cloud sculpture was installed to stop many people visiting Myeong-dong. A small star on the Little Cloud, smiling brightly with a cute face, has a warm meaning to pray for peace and happiness around the world. In addition, at the Dongtan branch, there was a special exhibition with Little Cloud Hanging sculptures, and at Jamsil branch and Lotte World Mall, cloud sculptures were installed to breathe warm energy into the hearts of many Idr, who had been frozen since the COVID pandemic. Through this project, Friends With You's artistic value and Lotte Department Store's space are harmonized, giving a meaningful experience to deliver warm comfort and hope to many people who are tired of COVID-19.
