An artist group that provides an immersive experience

Studio Swine is a design studio, co-founded in 2011 by Azusa Murakami from Japan and Alexander Groves from the UK, both graduates of the Royal College of Art (RCA). “Swine” is an acronym for “Super Wide Interdisciplinary New Explorers.” They made their first breakthrough in 2012 with Sea Chair, a stool made entirely from plastic waste recovered from the oceans. They were later acclaimed for New Spring, which they presented at Milan Design Week in 2017. Integrating elements of sculpture, installation, and video, this visionary duo seeks to enact utterly unique and immersive experiences.
