Studio Swine is a design studio co-founded in 2011 by Royal College of Art (RCA) graduates Azusa Murakami from Japan and Alexander Groves from England. The name 'SWINE' is an acronym for 'Super Wide Interdisciplinary New Explorers'. They first gained recognition in 2012 with the 'Sea Chair,' a stool made from plastic waste recovered from the ocean. Their reputation grew further in 2017 when they unveiled 'New Spring' and other notable works at Milan Design Week. Their work spans the realms of sculpture, installation, and video, offering immersive experiences.
